For the automotive industry to be progressive, it needs to gain a new perspective. One that prioritizes the environment even further. We asked ourselves what is a basic human need? What can we absolutly not live without? And how can Volvo help to be the leading force in supporting this, while also adding value to Volvo brand.
Our solution: AIR BY SWEDEN.
Our concept is a specialized air filter, added to electric cars that release zero emissions. The filter is built into the outer body of the vehicle, and as you drive it pulls in the polluted air, filters it and releases purified air into the environment. Each time you drive your car, you are helping to make the air cleaner and healthier to breathe.
The air filter will be able to collect data that will provide information on what areas are most polluted, what pollutants are in the air and how much purified air they have released into the environment. This feature will provide real time data that can be sold to cities and companies all over the world. The filters will even clean the air while the car is parked and being charged.
We believe that Volvo should develop the Air of Sweden air filter, launch it as standard in their 100% clean cars and then give it away to their competitors, showing that they truly are a human centric brand.
To promote this revolutionary addition to the Volvo cars an portable, hand held air purifier would be handed out to daily commuters in the public transportation system. The already zero polluters would be the first to have an positive impact on the environment around them.
It all leads up to the more powerful solution in the upcoming Air by Sweden launch by Volvo.
